Contemporary Dance and Floorwork for Beginners

Get ready to try new things, get strong, and have fun. Class involves a warm up, improvisation, strength and conditioning, across the floor, technique and combinations. Dancers will enhance their strength, coordination, flexibility and creativity while moving through the space and up and down from the floor. We cover the basics of floor work and inversions. We will find connection to our own body, the space around us, and each other. People from all backgrounds and levels of prior dance experience are welcome.

PHENOMENAL BODIES - axis syllabus training with Kira Kirsch

The Axis Syllabus is a somatic approach to dance and movement techniques and a collection of knowledge for learning, researching and experiencing movement. This includes moving with anatomical relationships, physics, bio-tensegrity, ongoing multi-disciplinary research, movement analysis and transmission. An Axis Syllabus class aims to create a collaborative learning environment and effective space for personal research.

5Rhythms®-Wave "move & groove"

The 5Rhythms® are both, free dance and dynamic meditation and you move what moves you. There are no step sequences, but you are guided by me and the music through the natural flow of a wave, i.e. the movements start flowing, become clear and focused, then chaotic and wild, next light and playful and finally we move in stillness. Each rhythm has its own energy and quality.

FLOOR WORK & ACROBATIC CONTEMPORARY DANCE by Berlin Contemporary Dance

BCD's courses emphasize on Contemporary Dance technique buildup and Improvisation. The focus is on floor work practice, organic movement, fluidity and awareness. Technique is approached as a guide to efficiency in the movement of the human body. The internal structure of the class is made to gradually deepen in the technique and develop through it. The main elements studied are:

Contemporary Dance - Movement Improvisation

I relate to the dancing body as a whole complex system that constructed from physical body, emotions, sensations, memories, personal history, thoughts and knowledge. The class facilitates a process of unlocking and expanding the range of possibilities of expression that are in our physical and mental body.

I like to guide the students in their own journey, encouraging them to deepen in their individual experience, and challenge them to visit and practice what is out of their habitual comfort zone.

OURBODY

OURBODY is an explorative dance class with its roots in the earth and urban dance foundations. Drawing on movement meditation, club culture and street dance techniques, this class is a collective journey that allows students to find catharsis, release and sensuality in their own body movement.

Come as your alter ego as we explore your psyche in all its creaturely forms. Bass, techno, house and ambient grooves guide this class into an ecstatic, deep and sweaty dive into your soul.

Children's Dance Project Bethanien

The CHILDREN'S DANCE PROJECT BETHANIEN would like to invite children to dance and aims to open up a playful path to dance expression for them. Through the imaginative and sensory approaches to a specific topic, the children experience their body as an instrument with which they can narrate, create and express themselves. The CHILDREN'S DANCE PROJECT BETHANIEN would like to give children space and time to deal with their own themes in a dance-based way.

GET PHYSICAL Process

The Get Physical Process has been developed by the dancer and choreographer Ricardo de Paula. It brings together elements of Contemporary Dance, Capoeira Angola, Body-Mind Centering, and Contact Improvisation. In the Get Physical Process, these different principles of movement and imaginations of the body merge into a powerful practice that searches for the strength and sensitivity of individual bodies meeting in motion.
